Plans

GageLog has three tiers — Free, Field, and Research — with Research also available as a team plan. Browsing is free without an account. Plans differ in how many gages you can track, whether you can run monitors, and how much reporting and history you get. Current tiers and prices are on the plans page.

How the limits work

  • Ads. Signed-out browsing and the Free tier may show a small sponsor rail in the side margin on wide screens. Every paid plan is completely ad-free.
  • Tracked-gage cap. Each plan sets how many gages you can track at once. Untracking frees a slot immediately.
  • Monitors. Paid plans include monitors; tier sets how many can be armed at once. Monitors attach to tracked gages, so the tracked cap is the outer bound.
  • Archive restore. Plans with archive access can pull a tracked gage's full period of record out of long-term storage for deep-history analysis — see Archive & restore.
  • Data exports. Free exports CSV only, up to 7 days of data per export. Every paid plan adds Excel (.xlsx) exports of any individual gage — including the derived-column workbook and the multi-gage comparison spreadsheet — with unlimited date ranges.
  • Reporting workbooks. The multi-gage data, visualization, and statistics workbooks and the flow-conditions PDF are included with the Research plan.
  • REST API + MCP server. The Research plan adds programmatic access built for heavy analytics, research, and data-science workflows: provision revocable API keys from the API console, script the REST API under generous rate limits, and connect notebooks, pipelines, and other MCP-compatible tools to the hosted MCP endpoint. API reads follow the same tracked-gage limits as the site.

Organizations & teams

The Research Team plan puts a whole team on one subscription: pick 2–10 seats and every seat count includes the full shared pool of 100 tracked gages, monitors and archive restores everyone on the team can see, 90-day warm retention on restores, and full API + MCP access for every member. Pricing is transparent: a flat base covers the first two seats, plus a fixed amount per additional seat — the slider on the plans page shows the exact price before you check out. Set it up yourself in minutes: create the team, choose seats, pay by card, and add teammates by email from the organization page — accounts are created and activation links sent automatically. Seats can be added or removed anytime and are prorated on your next invoice. Invoice / purchase-order / ACH billing is also available for procurement.

What never changes with tier

  • Exploring all gages and their public detail pages.
  • The underlying data — readings are public at their sources, and every gage page links to its agency record.
  • The analytics themselves: charts and statistics are computed the same way for everyone.

Billing

Monthly or annual, with roughly two months free on annual billing. Manage or cancel from Settings.
